They find their application also during the process of removal of undesirable substances [metals, minerals, bacteria...] from process water.

 

The height of the filtration mediums for filters with a high filling level is at least 1000mm and the total height of the pressure filtration vessel is higher than 2000mm.

 

The filtration rate of these filters is rather slow, it moves between 5 and 15m/hr, whereby it is possible to achieve a perfect removal of fine insoluble and settled substances, soluble substances, bacteria and turbidity from water …

 

By means of filtration through the filtration bed of pressure filters with a high filling level it is possible to remove turbidity, colloid substances, undesirable colour or odour, microbiological contamination, ammonia ions, iron, manganese from water and to reduce water acidity …

  • Disinfection by the dosing of sodium hypochlorite and by using the UV system

 

The result is formed by optimum values of BSK5 and CHSK. Then it is possible to release water freely into an open water source or it can be further used e.g. for irrigation, car washing lines, street sprinkling …

  • Pumping of water from the river
  • Gross pre-filtration by automatic screen filters - removal of mechanical impurities, protection and extension of the lifetime of the sand bed of pressure filters, reduction of back washing frequency
  • Dosing of the coagulate material
  • Slow filtration through the sand bed of pressure filters with a high filling level – removal of settled substances from water
  • Disinfection by the dosing of sodium hypochlorite or by using the UV system
  • Water distribution into the water tower and water main system

 

The result of the entire process is drinking water of the highest quality.
