Filters with a low filling level are used in particular in industrial and farming applications, in processes where no water treatment takes place.

 

The filtration through the filtration bed of pressure filters with a low filling level serves mostly for treatment of process water [removal of turbidity from water, elimination of colloid substances, removal of microbiological contamination and removal of fine mechanical impurities from water].

 

The height of the filtration medium for low filling level filters is 400 - 600mm while the total height of the pressure filtration vessel is about 1200mm.

 

The filtration rate of these filters is rather high, it oscillates between 30 and 60m/hr.

 

Filters with a low filling level and high filtration rate are used for filtration and treatment of water from open cooling towers, filtration of water for irrigation and garden lakes, filtration of water from car washing lines …
